St Joseph’s Primary School Dungog is a modern, fully equipped and well - resourced school.
The five new classrooms were opened in 2007 and all boast the expectations and requirements of a modern learning spaces. Each room has several computers and is equipped with an interactive white –board to assist and enhance the learning experience for the children in our care. Each room is also centrally heated and cooled to ensure the comfort of all children and staff throughout the year.
The school also has a bank of computers in our Library - which are utilised by each of the classes throughout the day and week. The ratio of computers allow each student in a class to work individually or collaboratively. All children have access to a variety of Literacy & Numeracy resources which are available online. Each class and student utilises these resources on a regular basis.
Additional improvements were completed as a result of the Federal Government BER funding in 2009 – 2010. As a result, additional storage space was built for school resources, covered walkways were completed, wet –weather play areas were established and the school play equipment area was given a permanent shade structure.
